Upcoming Demo Update


It's been a few months since my last posts on this project, so here's how things are going so far. I've been steadily plodding along with the final polishing pass for the first half of the game, as well as making a start on finishing up the final dungeon and last few bosses.

Some of the bigger gameplay adjustments made in response to feedback for the original demo:

  • Overhauled a couple of the less interesting character skillsets, and made all characters learn all their skills at lower levels, giving you more variety earlier in the game.
  • Adjusted encounter difficulty to match the skill changes and encourage actually making use of said skills.
  • Edited or rewrote most cutscenes in the game, keeping things shorter, making them flow better, and focusing more on stuff that actually matters when it comes to character interactions, worldbuilding, and providing a better sense of direction to the overall plot.

It might be a while longer still before I upload a new build as I'd like to hopefully replace a few more of the placeholder sound effects and music tracks before I do, but progress is indeed happening.
